Our leadership programmes are focussed on developing the skills required as people transition to senior positions where leadership becomes a new challenge. The change is a big one. You may be highly technically efficient at your current role, understand the business and know what you want to achieve, but can you transfer these skills into a leadership role effectively? How do you manage others and get the best out of them?
Managing a team and being an effective leader means juggling a wider range of tasks, having to communicate with new people, both upwards and downwards in the hierarchy. You will need to build strong relationships both with clients and teams where your views are respected, listened to and acted on. Broadening your soft skills will be critical, learning when to switch your leadership style to suit the moment, motivating teams and individuals who look to you for direction and guidance and providing effective feedback on performance and empowering others.
